Planned Giving and Bequests

Visionary Society

Visionary-adjective or noun

Definition: A person with original ideas about what the future will or could be like--especially of a person thinking about or planning the future with imagination or wisdom.

As Rhode Islanders, we have a long history of being visionary. We aren’t conformists. We are free-thinkers and creative problem-solvers with a love of engaging in intellectual and political discourse.

In other words—Rhode Islanders take pride in challenging the status quo. This pride inspires love for our neighborhoods, towns, and state and we seek innovative solutions to the challenges we face to improve our communities at all levels. But where do you turn to get all the facts you need to make informed decisions?

That’s where we come into the picture. Because RIPR was built by you, we celebrate all that is uniquely Rhode Island and have earned our reputation by providing comprehensive, insightful local journalism that you can count on. In the months ahead, we plan to embrace more of Rhode Island in our reporting to promote the civic health of all our communities. We’re reaching out to you as part of a new effort to not only partner for the betterment of Rhode Island today, but to begin planning for our future. We all want to keep RIPR an accessible and relevant news resource for generations to come.

As we imagine our evolution, we need visionaries like you to join us in shaping it. We know the first step is to begin to build a reserve fund for RIPR so we exist in perpetuity. We invite you to join in this effort by becoming a member of our new planned giving group, The Visionary Society, to aid us in reaching this goal. Membership is easy. Include RIPR in your will, designate us as a beneficiary on an insurance policy, or set up a charitable gift annuity. Your planned gift will be directed towards the reserve fund.

It was the vision of our founders that brought us into existence, and it’s your vision and investment that keeps us moving forward now. To learn more about planned giving, contact Erin R. Isabella at 401 519.0238 or erin@ripr.org. If you have already included us in your estate plans, please let us know so we can thank you and include you in our membership files.

You are RIPR and we thank you for being one of our visionary partners.
