McKee Up 9 Points On Taylor; Kilmartin Leads Hodgson By 14 points

Democrats hold the upper hand in the four statewide down-ballot races to be determined November 4, although large percentages of undecided voters in a new WPRI/TV-Providence Journal poll suggest possible changes in the outcomes.

Cumberland Mayor Daniel McKee, a Democrat, leads Republican Catherine Taylor, 36 to 27 percent in the race for lieutenant governor. Thirty-one percent of voters are undecided.

Clinton Endorses Magaziner, Backs His Economic Blueprint

Former President Bill Clinton came to Rhode Island Wednesday to lend his support to an old family friend, Seth Magaziner, one of two Democrats vying to be the state's next treasurer. More than 200 people turned out for the fundraiser ($50 suggested contribution) at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
