Ocean State Theatre's "Last Five Years" Doesn't Quite Land

  The Ocean State Theatre in Warwick has come up with a relatively unknown musical concerning a guy, a gal and a novel way of telling their story. Bill Gale says the production is a good try, at least.

Yet Another Winter Storm Bears Down On Rhode Island

More snow is hitting Rhode Island this morning.  The National Weather Service predicts about a foot could fall in the northwestern part of the state. 

Matt Doody, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said the rest of the state will see less of the white stuff.  “It drops off fairly quickly, so that the immediate Providence-metro area is anywhere from 6-8 inches, and then the coastline is probably only on the order of like 3-6 or so.”

TACV Airline Coming To T.F. Green

Gov. Gina Raimondo, Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian and Green State Airport officials will announce today that the new airline flying from the airport will be TACV Cabo Verde, the national carrier of Cape Verde, which will offer flights to Portugal, the Azores and Cape Verde, sources tell Rhode Island Public Radio.

The announcement is scheduled for this afternoon at the airport. TACV is the second airline since September to disclose plans to fly from Green. In September, Condor Airlines officials said they planned to offer seasonal flights to Germany.

“Dangerously Cold” Weather On Its Way To Rhode Island

The National Weather Service warns a blast of arctic air out of northern Canada will bring dangerously cold temperatures on Wednesday.

The arctic blast will hit Rhode Island Wednesday afternoon, packing strong winds and sending temperatures down near zero by Wednesday evening, said meteorologist Glenn Fields. “And then overnight looking at the actual temperature dropping to roughly three or four degrees in Providence, and probably a degree or two below zero in the Burrillville area.”
