Breton was part of the investigative team that won a 1994 Pulitzer Prize for the ProJo, and she covered the downfall of two Rhode Island Supreme Court chief justices, Joseph Bevilacqua and Thomas Fay. Doane Hulick http://ripr.org/post/rip-doane-hulick <p>Doane Hulick, a fine Providence City Hall and &nbsp;federal and state courts reporter for the Providence Journal, has died after a courageous five-year battle against advanced lung cancer. He was 73.</p><p>Hulick, a native of North Carolina, was a great story teller both in print and in person. An accomplished sailor, he was married to Providence Journal reporter Tracy Breton, who also teaches journalism at Brown University.
