AG wants casino regulation
PROVIDENCE, RI – If casino gambling ever comes to the Ocean State Attorney General Peter Kilmartin wants to be in charge of policing it.
Kilmartin has introduced a bill that would create a "Division of Gaming Enforcement" within his office.
Its function would be to investigate gaming crimes and promote public safety at all state gaming venues.
The bill would also transfer regulatory oversight of all racing from the Department of Business Regulation to the Lottery Division.
