Body of missing Brown Univ. coach found in Conn.

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. – A missing Brown University women's assistant soccer coach has been found dead three weeks after being reported missing.

Police said Sunday that 56-year-old Denis Chartier of Burrillville, R.I., was discovered dead inside his car on Saturday morning in a commuter parking lot off Route 395 in Griswold, Conn.

Police say the death is being investigated but no foul play is suspected.

Chartier left his home Feb. 6 and the last trace of him came when his player rewards card from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. was used at the casino on Feb. 7.

Burrillville police had been working with Foxwoods security and the Connecticut State Police to try to locate him.

A Brown spokeswoman says Chartier has been with the university for 15 years.
