PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Governor-elect Lincoln Chafee has started to add people to his transition team.
Chafee named lawyer Patrick Rogers, a partner at Edwards Angell Palmer and Dodge, as chairman of his transition team. A longtime former Chafee aide, Stephen Hourahan, will serve as transition director. The deputy transition director will be Michael Trainor, who had managed Chafee's campaign.
Chafee also appointed four initial members of a transition advisory committee. They include former US attorney Meg Curran, and Robert Walsh, executive director of the National Education Association Rhode Island, one of the state's largest teacher unions.
