As we previously reported, former president Bill Clinton will headline a New York City fundraiser Tuesday evening for Seth Magaziner, one of three Democrats running to be Rhode Island's next general treasurer.
The event is planned from 6-8 pm at the offices of ther international law firm Proskauer Rose LLP, with a private sponsor reception at 5:30.
Former RI congressman Patrick Kennedy, who now resides in New Jersey, is also expected to attend and offer a few words, according to Magaziner's campaign manager Evan England.
Contribution levels for the event include donations of $125 and $1000 (the maximum annual political contribution in RI), as well as "RSVP, pay at the door."
Magaziner's father, Ira, was a top aide during the Clinton presidency. Magaziner is competing with Ernest Almonte and Frank Caprio to succeed Gina Raimondo as general treasurer.
