Concern grows over missing Brown Univ. coach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Concern is growing for the welfare of a Burrillville man who vanished without a trace two weeks ago.

Burrillville police say Denis Chartier, the assistant women's soccer coach at Brown University, left his home on February 6 and hasn't been seen since. His wife, Denise, says there were no problems at home and that her husband was looking forward to his grandson's first birthday, which will be celebrated next week.

"We have no clue," she says. "There's no marital issues. He loves his grandchildren. He loves his job. Just out of the blue - gone."

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Chartier's car, which is described as a silver Honda, Fit Sport, with the Rhode Island license plate 859988.
