Gas costs up a penny from last week

Providence, R.I. – After a five-week downward trend, gas prices in state climbed a penny last week to $2.75 per gallon.

According to AAA Southern New England, Rhode Island gas is two cents more expensive per gallon than the national average. At this time last year, a gallon cost a nickel less.
