Gas prices dropping in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, RI – Gas prices are now coming down almost as fast as they've been going up for the past couple of months. For the second week in a row, gas prices in Rhode Island dropped from the previous week, according to AAA Southern New England.

Self serve regular is averaging $3.97 a gallon, down six cents from a week ago and eight cents over the last two weeks. But that price is $1.10 higher than at this time last year.

The average gallon of regular in Massachusetts runs at $3.91, and in Connecticut it will cost you $4.19 a gallon.
