Providence, R.I. – Gas prices in Rhode Island have dropped another penny.
AAA Southern New England says in its weekly survey that self-serve regular unleaded is averaging $2.74 per gallon. That's a penny less than last week and a five-cent decrease over the last two weeks.
AAA says the current price is five cents above the national average and nine cents higher than the average from a year ago at this time.
