Hasbro aims to go green
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Hasbro is taking steps to be more environmentally friendly. This year, Hasbro cut its waste stream by eliminating plastic bags from its product instructions.
Next year they'll take two more steps towards environmental sustainability by doing away with all wire ties from its packaging and using 75 percent recycled paper.
Company CEO Brian Goldner says the company's commitment to sustainability has been and continues to be a high priority. As part of this effort the company is also hiring a director of product packaging and sustainability.
