PROVIDENCE, RI – As former Rhode Island Congressman Patrick Kennedy prepares to tie the knot at the family compound in Hyannisport, the clan is showing a rare break in solidarity over family property. Earlier this week the New York Times reported that Ethel Kennedy is threatening to withhold 63 boxes of her husband's papers because she believes the Kennedy presidential library does not give her former husband, the late Robert Kennedy, enough respect.
Now comes word from the Boston Globe that Ethel is also upset about plans to transfer ownership of the main Kennedy home on the compound to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate.
Negotiations characterized as "delicate" are underway to address her concerns.
