Meg Fraser, editor in chief for the Cranston Herald and Johnston Sun newspapers, has gotten the nod as US Representative Jim Langevin's press secretary, succeeding Jonathon Dworkin, who recently left for another job. She starts June 24.
Via news release:
[Fraser] is also Editor of PrimeTime magazine, a senior living publication. She received a BA in Journalism from Northeastern University in 2008.
“I am thrilled to welcome Meg to my team,” said Congressman Langevin. “Her deep Rhode Island ties and wealth of experience in local media will be a tremendous asset to my office and to the constituents of the Second District.”
Fraser will take over the position recently vacated by Jonathon Dworkin, who is now working on Delaware Governor Jack Markell’s communications team.
Fraser follows in the line of another former local reporter who previously worked for Langevin, Joy Fox, now communications director for state Treasurer Gina Raimondo.
