Providence, R.I. – Access to the East Bay Bike Path will be limited next week while survey crews take video footage of the trail, according to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.
RIDOT announced today that starting next Monday, weather permitting, crews will travel down the 14.5-mile path in the morning and early afternoon in a vehicle too wide for bicyclists to pass.
The crews are scheduled to shoot video images every 50 feet that will record images of what users see on the path, allowing the department to take inventory of pavement condition and signs, among other features. More paths will be surveyed over the summer.
