PROVIDENCE, R.I. – On April 18th, 1981, the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Rochester Red Wings started what they thought was just another ball game. But eight hours later it became the longest ever played game in baseball history.
Former Providence Journal reporter Dan Barry has written a book about that game. And WRNI's Scott MacKay caught up with the Barry to talk about the game and how he went about writing this story.
