Providence, R.I. – State and federal officials are scheduled to join executives at the opening of a manufacturer in Ashaway.
Gov. Donald L. Carcieri, U.S. Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressman Jim Langevin are scheduled to help open a facility of defense contractor L-3 Chesapeake Sciences Corp. Monday.
The company says it will initially employ 40 people.
L-3 CSC is a division of L-3 Communications. It develops and manufactures anti-submarine warfare systems and develops and tests sonar equipment on submarines and ships.
