State Rep. Patricia Morgan (R-West Warwick) said Tuesday that Governor Gina Raimondo is not being forthcoming enough about her truck toll plan, although a Raimondo spokeswoman reiterated that preliminary locations for truck tolls will be identified at a later date.

Morgan remains an outspoken critic of Raimondo’s truck toll proposal. She says the administration’s response to a public records request leaves key questions about the plan unanswered.

Morgan said the response included a lot of unrelated or meaningless information, but not the sites for proposed truck tolls.

Raimondo spokeswoman Ashley Gingerella O’Shea said the governor’s office says it will provide the preliminary sites for toll gantries. But due to newly available money in a new federal transportation plan, she said, their infrastructure investment plan first requires a fresh look and additional analysis.

Debate about Raimondo’s plan to use truck tolls to pay for bridge improvements figures to be one of the defining issues of the General Assembly session starting next Tuesday.
