Providence – State and city officials say they will do whatever they can to keep the Gravity Games in Providence after this year.
Officials from N.B.C. Sports and the Gravity Games say development plans in the city may jeopardize some of the key skateboarding and dirt bike racing venues. City officials promise to find comprable sites.
?We have a list of inventory sites that are potentially possible. We are working through that with the Rhode Island Sports Council. The Gravity Games obviously , they need to tell us what their needs are. We love having the Gravity Games in Providence, Rhode Island. And we want to continue to be the home of Gravity.?said Providence Director of Administration Patricia McLaughlin.
Officials from N.B.C. say they will meet with state and city government officials this weekend to discuss and tour new potential sites.
