For once the northwest corner of Rhode Island got the least amount of snow.  National Weather Service meteorologist Rebecca Gould says the overnight storm was concentrated on southern Rhode Island,
“Which brought 3 to 5 inches of snow to Washington County and Newport County.  The spot in the state that got the least snow was North Foster in Providence County with just 1 inch of snow.”

She says South Kingstown woke up this morning to 5 inches of the white stuff.

Gould predicts no more snow for the next couple of days, but the temperatures will remain below freezing.

She says the next chance of snow is this coming weekend, but it's too soon to predict how significant that storm might be.
