PROGRAM NOTE: 1290 AM is back on the air

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – We would like to let our listeners know that our 1290 AM signal is back on the air after several hours off air due to blizzard-related conditions and flood damage from last March.

Our technical crew braved the cold and worked through most of Tuesday to get WRNI back on the 1290 AM signal.

The photo shows pipes containing weather damaged transmission lines going out to WRNI's four towers in North Providence. A new line was laid to get the 1290 AM signal up and running.

Apologies to all of our listeners for this inconvenience.
