Project chronicles artists in RI

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For every painting, print or sculpture there's a story behind the artwork and an artist. For the past two years, the NETWORKS RI project has documented the lives and work of Rhode Island artists through a series of videos and exhibits. A collection of artwork from the artists opens tomorrow at the Newport Art Museum. WRNI's Robert Ames recently spoke to the project's founders, arts supporter Doctor Joseph Chazan and Bert Crenca, artistic director of the Providence arts organization AS220.
