Rhode Islanders gathered at the Statehouse in Providence by the hundreds Wednesday night, in protest of President-elect Donald Trump.  The demonstration was one of several in cities and college campuses across the country. Americans have expressed sadness and fear over the election results.

He was often criticized for divisive rhetoric that appealed to white voters and flamed concerns about immigration and minorities.
