Return to Pascoag
By Av Harris
Providence, RI –
A hundred and forty days of water contamination for thousands of
Pascoag residents ended earlier this week.
Pollution by the gasoline additive MTBE made tap
water in people?s homes unusable for drinking,
cooking, washing, or bathing, making daily life
quite unbearable. With a clean water supply
running from new wells in the nearby village of
Harrisville, life has gotten considerably easier. But as WRNI's Av Harris reports, a major
environmental problem still looms for the village.
