Rhode Island And Wisconsin Residents Join Forces To Protest Paul Ryan’s Ocean State Visit

Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan is visiting the Ocean State Thursday, and protestors from his home state will be waiting for him.

Ryan is expected to attend multiple events and meet with supporters. One of the speaker’s stops will be the career services non-profit, Year Up, in Providence. Ryan visited the non-profit’s Boston offices last year.

Protests are planned in response to his visit by organizations like Resist Hate RI and Rhode Island Working Families. Ryan is accused of not meeting with his Wisconsin constituents to address their concerns over President Donald Trump.

Rhode Islanders are protesting in solidarity with Wisconsin residents. Rhode Island Working Families will FaceTime members of the Wisconsin Working Families Party into today’s rally.
