PROVIDENCE, RI – Theresa Murray is the new executive director of the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency.
Murray comes to Rhode Island from Boston where she was the Regional Catastrophic Planner for the city's office of emergency management.
A veteran investigator, Murray's worked at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and holds Top Secret security clearance from the Department of Homeland Security.
She received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Salve Regina University.
Murray replaces J. David Smith, who stepped down last summer to take a job in academia.
