RI governor's race enters final week of campaigning

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It's a busy week for Rhode Island's gubernatorial candidates as they enter the final days of their campaigns.

They'll face each other in three televised debates this week. The first debate is Tuesday night at the Providence Performing Arts Center. It will air on WPRI-TV.

The others are Wednesday evening at Bryant University, which will air on WLNE-TV; and a Friday debate at Rhode Island College that will air on WJAR-TV.

The four main candidates are Democrat Frank Caprio, independent Lincoln Chafee, Republican John Robitaille and Moderate Ken Block.

They're vying to succeed term-limited Republican Gov. Don Carcieri.
