As snow turned to freezing rain across parts of the state Tuesday, some people braved the precipitation and strong winds.
While car traffic was pretty minimal in the capital city, a few pedestrians were walking the streets and shoveling driveways. Anna Alexander, a transplant from the south says she wasn’t fazed by the weather.
“I’m from Texas, and so I’m not jaded yet. I get excited to go walk around in it,” said Alexander.
Providence resident Chris Salas said he was happy to walk through the snowy city, with spring on its way.
“We thought it would be fun to kind of see what the snow felt like, and just get out and enjoy it before it’s gone for the season,” said Salas.
Patrick Farrell of Providence was clearing his steps.
“It’s got to get done. This is all going to be icy and everything. So got to clean it up, that way nobody gets hurt, and you can get in and out of the driveway,” said Farrell.
Temperatures dipped through the evening, leading to some icy patches across the state Wednesday morning.
