wrni – Schools around Rhode Island are responding to the news of war in Iraq and the elevated homeland security advisory condition to 'orange'. Schools are reviewing and drilling safety proceedures that have been developed to cope with emergencies. The war has also been a topic of discussion in the classroom and has had an impact on school curriculum. Deborah Becker speaks with Richard Wheeler, Principal at Barrington Middle School about the effect recent events have had at his school.
