RNC chairman rallies RI Republicans

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – President Obama was not the only high profile politician to visit Rhode Island yesterday. Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown campaigned for Republican congressional candidate John Loughlin. And Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele made a stop in Warwick.

The Fire Nancy Pelosi Bus Tour rolled into a Warwick parking lot greeted by a crowd of local Republicans. RNC Chairman Michael Steele told the group it would take hard work to bring what he called common sense and leadership back to Washington.

"Don't sit back and look at a poll and say Gee, that looks pretty good, I guess we're doing alright,'" Steele said. "No, we're not doing alright until it's over and we've won."

The bus tour began last month. Republicans hope to visit 48 states before election day.
