Scientist details role of URI vessel in oil spill research
Providence, R.I. – As the nation faces ongoing concerns about the BP oil spill, scientists on nearby Cape Cod are being deployed to the gulf to find out more about the leaking oil. They'll be conducting their study aboard the University of Rhode Island's Endeavor vessel, which left the Ocean State last week for the Gulf Coast. Chris Reddy is lead researcher on the project. He spoke by phone with Morning Edition host Bob Seay by phone from Cape Cod.
