Several RIPTA routes detoured days after the storm
By Lydia Rogers
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is still detouring 12 of its bus routes due to the aftermath of last weekend’s snow storm. On its website RIPTA says the affected routes will remain detoured until further notice.
You can see the latest information provided by RIPTA here.
The affected bus routes are mainly in Providence and on Aquidneck Island. RIPTA says the detours are the result of heavily accumulated snow on some streets as well as unplowed secondary roads.
In addition, RIPTA says many of the busses on all routes are running behind schedule.
