Survey shows Chafee with slight lead over Caprio
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Independent gubernatorial candidate Lincoln Chafee has a narrow lead over Democrat Frank Caprio in a new Rasmussen survey.
The survey of 750 likely voters shows Chafee with 33 percent of the vote among likely voters, compared with 30 percent for Caprio. Republican John Robitaille places third, with 23 percent of the vote, while Moderate Ken Block gets five percent.
Rasmussen says nine percent of voters remain undecided. Rasmussen previously said Rhode Island's governor's race "leans Democratic." It's now calling the battle a toss-up.
The survey has a four percent margin of error.
