PROVIDENCE, RI – The Providence School Board meets this evening to consider a plan that would close four schools and reorganize two others.
A vote has been delayed amid questions from some parents who say the plan was hastily put together and unfairly targets the western and southern parts of the city.
Morning Edition host Elisabeth Harrison sat down with Providence Mayor Angel Taveras, who says closing schools is always a difficult decision to make.
