PROVIDENCE, RI – Sexually active teens looking for advice can now find reliable answers without feeling awkward.
Teenagers with questions about birth control can turn to the website AskaDocRI.org. It features a place to anonymously ask Women and Infants doctors about anything from female condoms to whether the pill makes you gain weight. The answer shows up on the website within 72 hours unless the doctors decide that the question was inappropriate.
In addition to the website, researchers plans to do outreach work in the cities with the highest teen pregnancy rates in the state including Providence, Central Falls and Woonsocket.
