Providence, RI – Many of us spend years in search of community, yearning for deep connection with other people. We search for connection in our families, in our neighborhoods, and in our own backyards. This week's essayist, Ruth Marris-Macaulay, reflects on a time in her life when she found that connection far from home.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – William Miles lives in Seekonk and is a professor of political science at Northeastern University. He tells us about what he realized after his time in the Peace Corps.
