Mourners can pay respects to the late Buddy Cianci at City Hall on Saturday and Sunday (Feb 6 and 7). His body will lie in repose at City Hall from noon to 6 p.m. both days. Those wishing to pay respects should enter via the Washington Street City Hall entrance.

Parking is available at the Providence place Mall and at the Rhode Island Convention Center garages. City Hall is handicapped accessible.

On Monday (Feb. 8), Cianci’s casket will be carried at 8 a.m. from City Hall in a horse-drawn procession. The procession will arrive at the SS peter and Paul Cathedral for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass of Christian Burial, which will be presided over by Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence.

Among the pall bearers are: Dr. Jay Turchetta, Todd Turchetta and Dr. Brad Turchetta, Cianci’s nephews; former Providence mayor Joseph R. Paolino Jr.; Sgt. Steven Courville, Providence police department; Manuel Viera, former head of the city’s communications department; Artin Coloian, Providence lawyer and former chief of staff to Cianci; Robert Lovell, Cianci’s former personal assistant; Scott Millard, former director of the mayor’s constituent  affairs department; and former Cianci staffer Rick Simone.

Burial will be at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston.
