RI Bill Would Also Ban Sale of E-Cigarettes to Minors

E-cigarettes may soon be subject to the same regulations as traditional cigarettes.

Tobacco Free Rhode Island is applauding proposed rules out of the US Food and Drug Administration to regulate e-cigarettes. The rules are similar to those in a bill pending at the Statehouse.

The proposed FDA rules would require warning labels and ban the sale of e-cigarettes to minors. A bill before the General Assembly also bans the sale of e-cigarettes to minors and would require a license for e-cigarette retailers.
