Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods are pushing to keep their casino bars open later. This comes after Massachusetts regulators allowed MGM Springfield to serve alcohol until 4 a.m.
Opponents of the move such as Michele Mudrick said extended hours could lead to more drunk driving.
"It would increase the already high social costs that casinos have to communities," Mudrick said.
In the past, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has pitched a later last call as a way to increase tax revenue. Now, the tribe says extending hours will keep the Connecticut casinos competitive.
