One Square Mile: Burrillville
Starting Monday, October 26, 2015, Rhode Island Public Radio will air a series focused exclusively on Burrillville. Our reporters fanned out across the community to visit some of Rhode Island’s most interesting locations, from a world-famous shooting range to a hotel rumored to have once hosted Abraham Lincoln and much, much more.
We’ll report on the growing controversy over natural gas projects and efforts to combat opioid abuse among teenagers.
A listening party for all the OSM:Burrillville segments will be hosted at the Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library in Harrisville on Tuesday Nov.3 from 6:00-7:30pm. Details are here!
The series is part of our commitment to in-depth local reporting and this year’s One Square Mile, an annual feature which focuses deeply on a single Rhode Island community.
Major funding for the One Square Mile series is provided by the Rhode Island Foundation, using philanthropy to move Rhode Island forward.
